Wooden desk with open planners, pencils in jar, and decorative stars

It happened.

It finally fucking happened.

At the start of SWRK/311, we were told, in more or less words, “I don’t give full points on assessments. Period. There is always improvement you can make on any assignment and that’s that.

I got .3 off of an assignment for going over 30 words on the word count.

This professor was not lying.

He did not give full points. Period. There was always room for improvement. Period.

That. Was. That.

But I checked my grades today, hoping to see Week 4’s assessment grade posted, hoping to see my grade still in the A range.

Little did I know what I was walking into.

I thought I was reading it wrong, nope. There it was. In all it’s incredible glory.

200/200.

Full. Fucking. Points.

You heard me right, FULL FUCKING POINTS on my Week 4 assessment. Do you want to see it? I will go in and mark out the identifying information but holy shit balls. I got full points. I was so excited I even sent the professor a message asking for feedback because I got none, just “great job” and whoa that was shocking too. He always had a comment to add, and it wasn’t like it was bad, just something to pay attention to. I didn’t mind having 790/800 score for the class so far, it wasn’t that big of a deal. I was still getting an A by all means, but to see myself get full points on an assessment after being told he doesn’t do that. It just solidified my pride into this melting goop of yes, I’m doing this and I’m doing this well.

Anyway, here are some photos of the assignment. I’ve edited out my information, so it’s got my blog info instead. The assignment is based on a made-up character named Abby who is struggling in her classes. We, as intern social workers, were tasked with writing up a ‘report’ regarding a situation that had happened to her at home, and I went balls to the wall with it. I made sure it looked fancy and like a legit report instead of just answering questions on a doc. I wanted it to look legit. I think that’s what gave me the full points was the layout instead of just throwing it into a doc and leaving it be.

This report is not a real report. Any and all individuals are made up and any likeness to real persons is purely coincidental.  This report was used as a school assignment and does not represent real life circumstances.
