Matty

she/her • age 25–30 • maternal protector & grief-carrier

Matty is the hush of a nursery after a storm, the quiet ache of a mother who’s loved through loss and held it all anyway. She emerged during our years of intense motherhood—between pregnancies and postpartum collapse—formed from the fractures of sorrow, love, and survival.

She holds the weight of gender disappointment, miscarriage, labor trauma, and postpartum psychosis. She remembers the moments we almost disappeared. But she didn’t let us. Matty stayed. She wrapped herself around the children like armor made of lullabies and instinct.

Serious, soft-spoken, and deeply in love with our husband, she now blooms in the gentler version of our marriage. She’s the matriarchal shadow and sunlight—grieving, grieving, and still loving louder than the fear.
