I went to the gas station across the street at 11:20 pm for a pack of cigarettes. I’ve done it before. Usually there is no one there and it’s no issue.

When I got there, there was a guy standing outside and he was asking me about washing the windows on my car. I shook my head and walked in. I grabbed what I needed and went to the counter. I asked for my cigarettes and paid. I walked out and went to manually unlock my door.

He came up behind me and asked me why I was alone at the gas station so late. He asked me where I was going. I got into my car, and he grabbed my door when it opened. I yanked it from his hand and slammed it shut before locking it and attempting start the car.

It took the car 3 times to get started while he was talking louder and knocking on my window. I didn’t get my seatbelt on. I pulled out of the parking space and drove off quickly.

If my car hadn’t started the last time…

I came home, went straight to the bathroom and dry heaved from the nausea.
